No Stone, No Angel
Beings on six wings, in flight
With unimaginable sonorous* voices, sing
“Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty
The earth is full of your glory”
Praises from the celestial realm
Acknowledgement due the One on high
Time having no unit of measurement
Single days to thousand years, praises rain
What privilege to join the choir above!
To back-up leading voices of non-men
And while angels hide behind great wings
We come into this awesome presence, boldly
Shall we decline an honor, so inestimable?
Hindering the urge that dares to praise?
And prevent the shoot of a divine image!
‘Cos winds of trials beat upon our life’s windows?
Though never heard the stones praise
Doubtless is their ability to
Dare to deny the Almighty His praise
And behold voiceless rocks resound in your stead~
I will praise this mighty God
And holler* if I have to
No stone, though before me, was made
No angel, having sung from earth’s conception
Shall take my place !
Psalm 149: 2-4 “2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.3 Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing psalms unto him with the tambour and harp.4 For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people; he beautifieth the meek with salvation. (DARBY)
