He Alone

Life so smoothly cruises by

Cascading hills and gliding across plains

The power that bears a vessel

Is not found in the size that defines the sail

Nor in the mechanism of its make

Like every mortal, this vessel is

Not in the deeds of mere hands

Or diligence of a devoted heart

Is found the strength to carry through

But in the tide of an undercurrent

In the whisper of a known silent voice

Is the one that has borne this far

There is a truth that many find late

And others live it as though it were not

Yet many more, for worldly cares,

Would find it at a time that will never be

What truth is more and to live by

Than the spoken Word

For man shall not live by bread alone…

Eph.4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.(NIV)
