WHEN GOOD MEN DIE

death

Two gone in recent times!
Could it be better than limes?
When you least expect
You pay your last respect
Death sounds no clarion call
Yet it would never stall

Pleasant memories still fresh
Present thoughts in a mesh
That wishes could just stay
Whether or not we pray
Then i`ll never lose anyone
Or mourn a single one

They were gone before my eyes
Like the throwing of dice
Doubtless to say we all are sent,
Though our destinies be different
Each with a unique message
Through the earth a passage

I choose these words to pen
Because they were good men
Men that spread love around
Who, in character stood sound
While we wait for eternity
Earth loses another worthy entity
